Youth on Track snapshot of referrals, participants and outcomes in 2020

  • Description
Youth on Track is an early intervention scheme for 10–17 year-olds that identifies and responds to young people at risk of long-term involvement in the criminal justice system. It aims to work collaboratively with other service providers to ensure consistent service provision without duplication of service to reduce criminal behaviours.

Youth Justice NSW measures ten indicators on a quarterly basis. The measures show promising initial results in relation to reduction of contact with police and a drop in the offending risk for more than 50% of those who engaged in the scheme for three months.
